Een dag in de prachtige Viroinvallei met Forest To Plate
In de ochtend kom je aan in Vireux-Molhain, en word je ingeleid in de wondere wereld van wilde eetbare planten. Op de locatie zelf krijg je omgeven door eindeloze natuurparken een eerste rondleiding, waarna de lunch volgt. Planten worden samen verwerkt op open vuur.
Hierna wandelen we nog eens enkele uren door de bossen en gaan op zoek naar wilde eetbare planten. Een stevige maar prachtige tocht waarbij we enkele basisplanten onderscheiden en bespreken. Omstreeks 16u sluiten we af. Vanaf dit jaar bieden we de optie aan om van een heerlijk wild avondmaal te genieten alsook in ons bijzondere huis te blijven overnachten, zie onder.
Gedurende deze dag wordt je steeds begeleid door iemand van Forest to Plate met de nodige kennis van wilde eetbare planten en de omgeving.
We zorgen ervoor dat je voor de rest van je leven verschillende planten zonder moeite zal herkennen, hoe je ze plukt en in de keuken kan gebruiken.
Geschikt voor mensen met een goede conditie (12 à 15 km met enkele pittige Ardeense hellingen).

Monday morning you will arrive in Vireux-Molhain, and be introduced to the wonderful world of wild edible plants. At the site itself, amid endless natural parks, you will be given an initial tour, followed by lunch. Plants are processed together on an open fire.
After this we hike for several hours through the forests in search of wild edible plants. A tough but wonderful hike during which we discern and describe some basic plants. We conclude the day around 5PM with a drink and small bite.
During this day you will always be accompanied by someone from Forest to Plate with the necessary knowledge of wild edible plants and the environment.
We make sure that for the rest of your life you will effortlessly recognize different plants, how to pick them and use them in cooking.
